Diani Blue is a charmingly small (6 bedrooms), intimate and exclusive family owned and managed beach lodge, lapped by the waters of the Indian Ocean. It is private, cozy & relaxed though close to the hustle and bustle of Diani for entertainment if required. Watersports, ice cream parlours, cafes, beach bars and restaurants … or a visit to the Shimba Hills.
Why do We Love Diani Blue?
We love Diani Blue for so many reasons! It’s little and personal and all the rooms are located around a little swimming pool, perfect for keeping an eye on the kids. It’s on Diani Beach so great for sandcastles and it has beautiful gardens to rest in whilst looking up at colobus resting in the trees. Oh and the seafood and shellfish is delicious.

vii. The Shimoni Slave Caves. Shimoni means ‘place of the hole’ a reference to the 5 km of silted-up caves, which are thought to have been used for storing slaves prior to shipment to Zanzibar. Tours of the caves demonstrate the metal rings in the rocks to which the slaves are thought to have been shackled and the now silted-up passage, which once led to the slave ships.
